The exterior of Constance Billard School for Girls — the fictional private school attended by Blair, Serena, and Jenny — was filmed at the Museum of the City of New York. This beautiful Georgian Colonial Revival building on Fifth Avenue's Museum Mile, overlooking Central Park, perfectly embodied the exclusive, old-money feel of an elite Manhattan prep school. Constance Billard was inspired by real-life Upper East Side private schools: Nightingale-Bamford School (20 East 92nd Street) and The Spence School (22 East 91st Street) are both referenced as inspirations.
