The Standard Hotel (High Line)

About This Location
The Standard Hotel, straddling the High Line in the Meatpacking District, appeared in Gossip Girl as a hip downtown alternative to the uptown hotels favored by the Upper East Side elite. The hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows, rooftop bar Le Bain, and Boom Boom Room nightclub made it the ultimate downtown party destination. In Gossip Girl, The Standard represented the more modern, edgier side of New York nightlife — the kind of place where Serena van der Woodsen would be spotted by paparazzi and where downtown met uptown in the city's social scene. The hotel's location above the High Line park makes it architecturally striking and instantly recognizable.
